I’ve spent the greater part of the last two decades in the recruiting world, partnering with companies across commercial construction, manufacturing, skilled trades, private equity, and disaster response. My career has taken me from agency recruiting to consulting, small business ownership, and even education — and through it all, one thing’s been consistent: I’ve never been great at keeping quiet about what really goes on behind the scenes.

Over the years, I’ve hired and coached countless professionals, led recruiting teams, built strategies from the ground up, and trained leaders on how to actually hire and retain great people. I’ve seen the good, the bad, and the unbelievable sides of business — and I’ve built this platform to talk about it openly. The blog and vlog are my way of sharing the real stories, lessons, and laughs that come from two decades in the trenches.

Outside of work, I’m a laid-back family guy. I’ve been married to my southern wife since 2003, and she’s without question my biggest supporter and the best thing that’s ever happened to me. Over the years, we’ve raised seven dogs and built a life that keeps me grounded (well somewhat :) ) and very grateful.

This site is part career insight, part real talk, and part therapy session. I don’t pretend to have all the answers — but I’ve got a few stories, a lot of experience, and zero interest in sugarcoating any of it.
